CSI is an innovative crime drama where characters use cutting-edge forensic tools to examine evidence that helps to resolve cases. Animated sequences are another stand out when they portray bullet trajectories, blood spray patterns and organ damage.

The technique of shooting extreme close-ups with an explanatory commentary from a CSI character has even come to be referred to as a ‘CSI Shot’. A lot of thought is given to methods of evidence recovery sequences and crime reconstruction.

One of the main characters is CSI level 2 Dr. Raymond Langston played by Laurence Fishburne who during a murder investigation, comes into contact with the CSI team. He uses his experience as a doctor to solve murders.

The personal lives of some of the characters are brought into the series such as with Catherine Willows, the commander of the night shift of the Las Vegas CSI unit. Another notable character is the Trace Technician David Hodges who brings a comic relief into the crime scenes. This guy has an acute sense of smell that aids in the hunt here and there. Now in its tenth season, CSI Shows continue to captivate their viewers.

This is best viewed in high definition TV. Hi-definition TV can be a bit expensive. From cell phones to TV providers, superior services cost extra, but so far, DirecTV has been one of the least expensive service providers. Buy Dish TV or Directv for great rates on HDTV.
